James F. Rutherford

James F. Rutherford is a 2001 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a 2005 graduate of the Michigan State University School of Law.

Mr. Rutherford is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and North Carolina Advocates for Justice.

Mr. Rutherford is certified to administer standardized field sobriety tests by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration.

Mr. Rutherford’s practice is concentrated in the areas of criminal defense; including, felonies and misdemeanors, driving while impaired defense and traffic law.  Mr. Rutherford also provides representation in school suspension hearings and domestic violence protection actions.
